| NEWS NOVEMBER |
November brings a rich array of performances for Ascolta Artists, showcasing our singers and musicians in opera houses, concert halls, and festivals from Spain to Scandinavia. In Germany, baritone Fabian Düberg continues his season as a member of the Theater Bremen ensemble, performing throughout the 2025/26 season from November through January. Meanwhile, tenor Jonah Spungin takes part in Landestheater Detmold’s productions of Die Zauberflöte, with performances beginning in November and continuing into the new year, including guest appearances in Leverkusen, Minden, and other cities. In Estonia, Gabriele Mangione performs the demanding role of Calaf in Puccini’s Turandot at the Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu. His performances begin with a premiere on November 7. Irina Ignata joins Vogtland Philharmonie and Oratorienchor Würzburg for the sacred repertoire - Verdi’s Requiem - as mezzo-soprano soloist, performing on November 8, while soprano Aistė Pilibaitė A few days later, soprano Aistė Pilibaitė appears at the National Theatre Brno in Dvořák’s Requiem, conducted on November 12 — a deeply moving work rooted in the Czech choral tradition. Further south, Louise McClelland makes her debut with the Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España, performing as soprano soloist in Franz Schmidt’s The Book of the Seven Seals under the baton of Fabio Luisi. Concerts take place on November 14, 15, and 16 in Madrid — a major event in the Spanish concert season. In Oslo, mezzo-soprano Cecilia Lund Tomter continues her engagements with Den Norske Opera in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, performing as the Third Lady and Third Child. Her first performances of the run begin on November 21, with additional appearances and covers extending into January. The month concludes with festive concerts in Denmark, where Christian Damsgaard performs in a series of Christmas programs with the Randers Chamber Orchestra, beginning November 25 and continuing through December. On November 30, baritone Frederik Rolin brings holiday cheer to audiences at Fuglsang Musikforening’s Julekoncert. From sacred masterpieces to grand opera and the first sounds of Christmas, November is filled with remarkable performances that reflect the artistry and dedication of our Ascolta Artists. |

| NEWS OCTOBER |
October brings an exciting array of performances for our artists, spanning grand opera premieres, concert appearances, and international collaborations. The month opened on October 4 at the Staatstheater Darmstadt with Verdi’s Aida — a new production directed by Noa Naamat, featuring Irina Ignata as Amneris. The production continues with performances on October 18, November 9 and 28, and into December and February. At the Landestheater Detmold, tenor Jonah Spungin begins rehearsals for Puccini’s La fanciulla del West on October 8, followed by additional work in Gutersloh in mid-November. In France, Lianghua Gong performs Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Grand Opéra Avignon, with performances on October 10, 12, and 14. A major highlight in Denmark this month is Verdi’s La Traviata at the Danish National Opera, opening on October 10 and continuing with performances throughout October and November. Five Ascolta Artists take part: Frederikke Kampmann and Sofie Lund share the role of Violetta, Anders Kampmann sings Alfredo, while Teit Kanstrup and Hrolfur Sæmundsson alternate as Germont. In Sweden, Conny Thimander appears in Primadonna at the Royal Swedish Opera with performances on October 11, 15, and 18, and continuing through November and December. Meanwhile in Germany, Louise McClelland performs Barbarina in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at the Bayerische Staatsoper München on October 12 and 14. Also on October 12, Trine Møller and Francine Vis take the stage of the Royal Danish Opera as Santuzza and Lola in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, running through November 14. The concert season is equally rich this month. On October 23, Louise McClelland and Sidsel Eriksen perform Rued Langgaard’s Sfærenes Musik with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Copenhagen, while on the same date, Frederikke Kampmann, Anders Kampmann, and Steffen Bruun join the Singapore Symphony Orchestra for Carl Nielsen’s Hymnus Amoris and Fynsk Forår. The following day, October 24, McClelland appears again — this time with the Odense Symphony Orchestra in a concert featuring music by Kirstine Lindemann. Toward the end of the month, Aylin Sezer performs Anitra’s Solo from Grieg’s Peer Gynt at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam on October 24–26, and Gabriele Mangione sings Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème at the Vanemuine Theatre in Estonia on October 29. The month closes with Sidsel Eriksen and Simon Duus starring in Carmen at the Helsingør Kammeropera on October 30, followed by Cláudia Ribas as Cornelia in Handel’s Giulio Cesare at Oper Frankfurt on October 30 as well. October has been a month of artistic vitality and international presence — from Verdi to Mozart, Puccini to Nielsen — celebrating the dedication, creativity, and excellence of our artists across Europe and beyond. |

After a vibrant summer season, September brings a new wave of exciting projects for Ascolta Artists, with performances ranging from symphonic concerts to major opera productions. In Denmark, Frederikke Kampmann opens the month with an Italian program alongside the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra on 4 and 5 September.Soon after, Sibylle Glosted appears at the Royal Danish Opera as Papagena in Papageno og Papagena, with performances throughout the month starting on 11 September. Further engagements include Lilla Lee in the title role of Aida at the Silesian Opera in Bytom on 12 and 14 September, with an additional performance on the 19th. In Estonia, Gabriele Mangione takes the stage as Rodolfo in La Bohème at the Vanemuine Theatre on 13 September. In Stockholm, Conny Thimander joins the Royal Opera House for the Nicolai Gedda 100 Year Anniversary Concerts, with appearances on 15 and 23 September. Later in the month, Ksenia Bakhritdinova performs the title role in Tosca with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra on 19 September. Closing the month in Switzerland, Cláudia Ribas returns to Luzerner Theater as Federica in Luisa Miller on 21 September. September promises to be a dynamic month, highlighting the versatility and strength of Ascolta’s artists on international stages. |

| NEWS AUGUST |
As summer reaches its peak, August brings a wave of exciting performances from Ascolta Artists across Scandinavia. From festival stages and open-air operas to major house productions and even world premieres, our artists are making headlines this month with a variety of powerful appearances. Mezzo-soprano Mathilda Bryngelsson begins the month in Sweden, performing at the Nordic Song Festival on August 8 with the Young Nordic Opera Chorus. She closes the month on August 31 at the Herning Opera Festival in Denmark, appearing with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. Opera Hedeland will host several Ascolta artists in its summer production of Le Nozze di Figaro, taking place on August 8, 15, and 16. Simon Duus takes on the role of Figaro, joined by Christian Damsgaard-Madsen as Don Curzio/Basilio, Sidsel Aja Eriksen as Cherubino, Louise McClelland as Contessa and Johan Spungin as Conte — a true ensemble of Ascolta talent. The Copenhagen Opera Festival brings a thrilling variety of performances. On August 13, countertenor Steffen Jespersen appears in the world premiere of Opera EKKO by Josefine Opsahl at Teater Monumentum in collaboration with Den Fynske Opera. On August 19, soprano Yana Kleyn sings Micaëla and mezzo-soprano Clàudia Ribas takes on the title role in a concert version of Carmen with the Malmö Opera Orchestra. Earlier in the month, on August 3, Louise McClelland joins Copenhagen Philharmonic for the Plænekoncerter at Tivoli. Soprano Frederikke Kampmann has a busy month ahead - she takes on the iconic role of Violetta Valéry in La Traviata at Den Jyske Opera on August 19, 21, and 23. She also participates in a unique collaborative production, Vi bygger en Mozart-opera sammen, with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra at the Herning Opera Festival on August 30. Tenor Anders Kampmann performs as Siegfried in Götterdämmerung at Den Ny Opera in Esbjerg on August 24. This highly anticipated performance features a powerful cast of Ascolta artists, including Trine Møller as Brünnhilde, Jens Søndergaard as Gunther, Sofie Lund as Woglinde, and Francine Vis as Wellgunde. Meanwhile, Hrólfur Sæmundsson sings the role of Giorgio Germont alongside Frederikke Kampmann in La Traviata, while tenor Jens Christian Tvilum takes part in Poul Ruders’ contemporary opera Det 13. Barn with the Odense Symphony Orchestra on August 21 and 22. With such a wide range of performances happening throughout August, it’s a pleasure to see our artists engaged in so many exciting projects — from new works and major roles to collaborations with respected orchestras and opera houses. Summer is here, and with it a month filled with extraordinary performances by our talented artists across Europe and beyond. We are proud to share their exciting engagements for July, and invite you to experience their artistry live on stage. The month begins with mezzo-soprano CLAUDIA RIBAS bringing her expressive voice and dramatic presence to the role of CORNELIA in Händel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto at the NATIONALTHEATER MANNHEIM on July 1st. On July 6th, tenor MARTIN SHALITA steps into the role of PINKERTON in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, performed at the atmospheric open-air venue FESTUNG EHRENBREITSTEIN with THEATER KOBLENZ. Continuing the month with symphonic grandeur, baritone RICCARDO LLAMAS MÁRQUEZ joins the stage at TEATRO DE LA MAESTRANZA DE SEVILLA on July 10th, performing the baritone solo in Beethoven’s monumental 9th Symphony. On July 20th, mezzo-soprano MATHILDA BRYNGELSSON delvers an intimate chamber concert at the BIRGIT NILSSON SOCIETY, offering a special evening of music in the unique settings of the Birgit Nilsson Museum in Båstad. Later in the month, tenor CONNY THIMANDER takes on the role of DON OTTAVIO in Mozart’s beloved Don Giovanni, presented by ULRIKSDALS SLOTTSTEATER-CONFIDENCEN on July 24th. We close this thrilling month with Puccini’s Turandot at OPERA PÅ SKÄRET on July 26th, where soprano KSENIYA BAKHRITDINOVA sings LIU and tenor JAMES LEE takes on the demanding role of CALAF. As summer draws near, we’re thrilled to spotlight an exciting month of performances, debuts, and prestigious engagements for our roster of extraordinary artists across Europe. JUNE promises to be filled with powerful music-making, with several highlights not to be missed. We begin in Copenhagen, where mezzo-soprano CLÁUDIA RIBAS joins the COPENHAGEN PHILHARMONIC for VERDI’S Requiem on June 5—an emotionally charged work in which her rich, expressive voice will be featured to great effect. Baritone HROLFUR SÆMUNDSSON continues his success in Aachen, taking on the role of DON CARLO in VERDI’S Ernani at MUSIKTHEATER AACHEN, part of which is to be set in the great Aachen Cathedral, performances beginning June 7 and running through July 8. His commanding presence and vocal authority promise a thrilling interpretation of this dramatic role. Soprano LILLA LEE brings her formidable Turandot to the stage of TEATR WIELKI in POZNAN beginning June 8. With additional performances on June 10, 13, 14, and 15, this marks a major engagement in a title role that showcases her powerful, soaring soprano. On June 12, soprano YANA KLEYN appears in concert in the great Tivoli Concert Hall with the COPENHAGEN PHIL alongside tenor Jonathan Tetelman, promising a night of exceptional artistry and chemistry. We close the month at the IMMLING FESTIVAL, where Mezzo-soprano ANASTASIYA MARTYNIUK will be singing Carmen and soprano AISTE PILIBA debuts as MICHAËLA in 'Carmen' on June 28. With subsequent performances in July and August, her heartfelt portrayal is set to captivate festival audiences throughout the summer. As the classical music season moves into its late spring rhythms, May brings a wealth of exciting powerful performances for our artists. We are proud to share the latest highlights from our roster as they take on major engagements across Europe. At Theater Bremen, tenor FABIAN DÜBERG will be singing the role of Rodrigo in Otello on May 4th. Meanwhile, at Theater Magdeburg, baritone HROLFUR SÆMUNDSSON brings his commanding presence to the role of Germont in La Traviata, with performances on May 3, 11, and 25, followed by additional dates in June.
In Copenhagen soprano MARLENE METZGER takes to the stage of the Royal Danish Opera in the premiere of the baroque rarity Griselda as the eager and jealous Ottone on May 4th.
The Landestheater Detmold sees soprano JOHANNA NYLUND shine in the new production of Herzogin von Chicago on May 23rd .
In Copenhagen, soprano LOUISE MCCLELLAND will be bringing the role of Alida to the Royal Danish Opera, when Asle and Alida premieres on May 21st. Mezzo-soprano SIDSEL ERIKSEN goes on a tour with The Danish Royal Theatre for a trio of summerconcerts around Denmark beginning on May 16th offering audiences a chance to hear opera in a relaxed outdoors setting.

| NEWS APRIL |
April is set to be an exciting month for classical music lovers, as our roster of outstanding artists will grace the stages of prestigious venues across Denmark. At Helsingør Kammeropera, STEFFEN BRUUN will captivate audiences in Wagner's ‘Tannhäuser’, with performances running from April 6th to April 13th. BRUUN takes on the role of Reinmar von Zweter, in Wagner’s operatic masterpiece. Meanwhile, LOUISE MCCLELLAND will bring her remarkable soprano voice to the Danish Philharmonic Orchestra for a series of choral concerts from April 10th to April 12th.
A highlight for Beethoven enthusiasts, CLÁUDIA RIBAS will perform as the mezzo-soprano soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra on April 11th, a powerful interpretation not to be missed.
In Copenhagen, MARLENE METZGER will join the Københavns Drengekor in Bach’s iconic ‘Matthäus Passion’, with performances on April 11th and 13th.
Adding to the month's operatic splendor, ANDERS KAMPMANN will be starring as the charming Danilo in ‘Den Glade Enke 2.0’ (The Merry Widow) at The Copenhagen Opera House, The Royal Theater, for the opening night on April 12th. CHRISTIAN DAMSGAARD takes on the role of Kronborg, SIMON DUUS the role of Zeta and SIBYLLE GLOSTED singing Valencienne, will all be joining the cast on April 15th. JENS CHRISTIAN TVILUM is joining the cast as Camille on April 29th
In another exquisite interpretation of Bach’s ‘Matthäus Passion’, FREDERIKKE KAMPMANN and CONNY THIMANDER will lend their vocal prowess to Camerata on April 16th.

March is shaping up to be an incredible month filled with outstanding performances from our talented artists. FRANCINE VIS will take the stage at Malmö Opera for their tour of Gian-Carlo Menotti’s opera ‘The Medium’ (Madame Flora), with performances running from March 1st to May 25th. This gripping psychological opera follows the story of Madame Flora, a fraudulent medium who begins to experience terrifying supernatural events. FRANCINE VIS brings intensity and depth to this demanding role, making it a must-see performance.
HROLFUR SÆMUNDSSON will be performing in Jenny Wilson’s opera, Älskarinnorna (The Mistresses) at Norrlandsoperan, with performances on March 8, 11, 15, 22, 23, 28, and 29. This bold and contemporary work explores themes of passion, betrayal, and power, with HROLFUR SÆMUNDSSON portraying the character of Heinz/Wolfgang, a complex and pivotal role in this avant-garde production.
MATHILDA BRYNGELSSON will bring Suzuki to life in ‘Madama Butterfly’ at Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern on March 12. This Puccini classic tells the heartbreaking tale of Cio-Cio-San, and MATHILDA BRYNGELSSON’s portrayal of Suzuki, the loyal and compassionate maid, promises to bring warmth and emotional depth to the performance.
YANA KLEYN will portray Mimì in ‘La Bohème’ at Malmö Opera, premiering on March 15th. One of Puccini’s most beloved operas, ‘La Bohème’ follows the tragic love story of Mimì and Rodolfo. YANA KLEYN’s soaring vocals and heartfelt acting will make for a truly unforgettable interpretation of this timeless character.
JENS CHRISTIAN TVILUM (Kunz Vogelgesang), SIMON DUUS (Hermann Ortel), IAN BJØRSVIK (Lehrbube) and GIACOMO SCHMIDT (Lehrbuben) will take part in ‘Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg’ at The Royal Danish Opera, premiering on March 16. This grand Wagnerian opera celebrates the art of song and creativity.
LOUISE MCCLELLAND will be starring as Alida in Bent Sørensen ‘ Asle og Alida’ at Bergen Nasjonale Opera, with performances beginning on March 29 and continuing into April. This hauntingly beautiful opera, based on the novel by Jon Fosse, explores themes of love and destiny.

February is proving to be a busy month for our artists, with several important debuts at some of the best opera houses in Europe. Here is a look at what this coming month will be bringing: On February 1st, join us at St. Gallen for the powerful production of 'Macbeth', conducted by the renowned CARLO GOLDSTEIN. The haunting atmosphere of Verdi’s masterpiece promises to captivate all who attend. On February 7th, two incredible premieres will take place. First, soprano FREDERIKKE KAMPMANN makes her debut at The Royal Danish Theater as Berta in 'Il Barbiere di Siviglia'. Then, on the same day, the Bayerische Staatsoper will present the premiere of Richard Strauss’s 'Die Liebe der Danae', featuring the exceptional LOUISE MCCLELLAND in her debut at the theater, after jumping into the production ten days before the premiere! The following day, February 8th, brings the premiere of 'Salome' at Malmö Opera, where tenor CONNY THIMANDER will bring his portrayal of Narraboth to life, alongside mezzo-soprano MATHILDA BRYNGELSSON as Herodias’ page. This production is not to be missed! On February 14th, 'Cenerentola' will have its premiere at Landestheater Detmold, featuring soprano JOHANNA NYLUND as Clorinda and bass-baritone RICARDO LLAMAS MÁRQUEZ as Don Magnifico. With such a talented cast, this charming production promises to be a delightful Valentine’s treat. A highlight of February will be the performance of 'Evgenij Onegin' at Teatro alla Scala di Milano on February 19th. Tenor YAROSLAV ABAIMOV will sing the role of Triquet, bringing his distinctive voice to one of opera's most beloved works. On February 20th, The Danish National Opera will present a rare gem—'Fête Galante' by Poul Schierbeck. This opera will be performed on a national tour, starting with its premiere at The Danish National Opera, where tenor ANDERS KAMPMANN will sing René, baritone TEIT KANSTRUP will portray Scaramouche (debuting on February 21st), mezzo-soprano SIDSEL ERIKSEN will sing La Scaramouche, and tenor CHRISTIAN DAMSGAARD will perform as King Ludvig XV. Finally, on February 27th, join us for a stunning concert performance of Rossini’s 'Stabat Mater' with the Danish National Philharmonic Orchestra.
